即完売となり話題を呼んだ “NICKELMAN & KETA RA” によるコラボレーション・アルバム『Akasha』その続編となる新作『Hibiki』が、限定12インチLP & カセットテープにて登場。

日本の自然や四季、ゆるやかに流れる時間や空間をコンセプトに制作された今作は、両者の感性が繊細に交差し、唯一無二の世界観を描き出すスローテンポ・アンビエント作品となっている。

『Akasha』同様、温もりのあるローファイなアナログ質感をベースに、アンビエント／ダウンビート/エレクトロニカ／ダブ／ドローンといった要素を背景に展開。

多様なドラム・シーケンスを自在に組み合わせ、独自の音楽性を紡ぎ出す。

KETA RAが実機で奏でたギター、鍵盤、ハンドパン、パーカッションなどのフレーズを、NICKELMANがMPC2000XLでサンプリング＆再構築。

さらに、日本の山や海で収録されたフィールドレコーディングも随所に織り交ぜながら、音のレイヤーが丁寧に重ねられた全8曲が、万華鏡のような美しいサウンドスケープを生み出している。

アートワークには、KETA RA撮影による写真をベースに、NICKELMANのアート名義 “55555” がコラージュ＋ドローイングで仕上げたビジュアルを採用。

音と共鳴しながら、その世界観を視覚でも体現する、コンセプチュアルな一枚に仕上がっている。


After the instant sell-out and widespread acclaim of Akasha,the collaborative album by NICKELMAN & KETA RA,the long-awaited follow-up Hibiki is now available on limited 12” vinyl and cassette tape.

Inspired by the beauty of Japanese nature, the four seasons, and the gentle flow of time and space,Hibiki is a slow-tempo ambient album where both artists’ sensibilities intertwine to create a singular sonic world. As with Akasha, the album is grounded in a warm, lo-fi analog texture,blending elements of ambient, downbeat, electronica, dub, and drone.Various drum sequences are freely woven throughout the album, forming a distinct rhythmic identity.

KETA RA’s live performances on guitar, keys, handpan, and percussionwere sampled and reconstructed by NICKELMAN using the MPC2000XL.Field recordings captured in the mountains and along the coast of Japan are layered seamlessly into the compositions,resulting in eight richly textured tracks that unfold like a beautiful, kaleidoscopic soundscape.

The artwork, based on photographs taken by KETA RA,was transformed into collage and drawing by NICKELMAN under his art alias “55555”.A conceptual work that resonates in harmony with the music—visually embodying the sonic world it represents.
